Aida received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Portland State University, Oregon in 2004. In 2008, she earned her Master of Science degree in Physics with emphasis in Atmospheric Physics from the same university under the supervision of Dr. M.A.K. Khalil. Aida holds graduate certificates in Project Management and Environmental and Natural Resource Economics.
From 2006 to 2009, Aida worked as a climate change researcher at Portland State University evaluating effects of changing methane emissions on atmospheric chemistry and further impacts on climate change. In 2009, she joined Oregon Department of Environmental Quality as an Air Quality Data and Policy Analyst. The focus of her assignment was on gathering, analyzing and managing data and information to drive technical, policy and strategic recommendations with respect to environmental initiatives by the State of Oregon. Aida also taught statistics and electronics at ITT Technical Institute in Portland and Croatian Language at Portland Community College.
